    Typically selling for well over 00.00 for a whole machine, this is a parts machine.
    The only thing wrong with this machine, is that the computer doesn't turn on and it does not come with a carriage or lid. it is the machine only.
    THE COMPUTER DOES NOT TURN ON, IT DOES NOT COME WITH A CORD, it does not come with a carriage. either the brother 270 OR BROTHER 260 will knit yarn on this machine.
    Once you obtain a carriage and sinker plate, this machine WILL knit stockinette with out being plugged in.

    you can enjoy knitting 144 stiches a minute in stockinette, hand manipulated stiches such as cables,  hand manipulated lace and many more interesting textual knitted fabrics. These stitches do not require the machine to turn on in order to work.     If you are handy with a soldering iron and can solder new capacitors, replace the battery, and diagnose other electronic component issues, and repair the computer, you may be able to get away with getting this rare machine for a song. you can download and read the repair manual here: http://machineknittingetc.com/brother-kh270service-manual.html. if you like to hack knitting machines, this just may be the project for you.
    Don't let the computer stop you from knitting. but if you find another computer that will match or contact AYAB( all yarns are beautiful brand computer) getting a new computer on this machine you will get a chance for an upgrade and you got this machine for a song.
